Junior High Ministry (JHM)

A Junior High Ministry Volunteer works under the direction and supervision of the Bel Air Junior High Ministry Staff to provide the junior high students with safe environment in which they can experience the love of God and grow in their knowledge of Him. Primarily, the focus of this team is to affirm a student’s personal journey so they can own their own faith and value a faith community.

Opportunity Details:

Department: Students
Time Commitment: There is an opportunity to serve weekly in this area. Service opportunities are Sunday at 10AM and 11AM, and also on Tuesdays at 6:30PM. Volunteers are asked to arrive no later than 30 minutes prior to their service time, and they should anticipate staying an additional 15-20 minutes after the service has concluded. Additionally, there are Quarterly training meetings and team socials last roughly 2 hours. These meetings are to equip and encourage the teams.
Skills: Sensitivity to the needs of parents and students, listening and good communication, ability to remain calm and lovingly patient with students.
